Welcome!

25 Aug

This is the first post of the Geneva to Monte Carlo (G2MC) charity bike ride blog.

A number of people have suggested I write a blog but it was my niece, Emily, that put me onto this site.  Unfortunately, Emily has been admitted to hospital with kidney failure and she has written a marvelous blog (http://emzychuds.wordpress.com/2012/08/25/the-start-of-the-rest-of-my-life/).  We’re all thinking of you Ems.

Today I have been at the admin all day – getting info to the tour operator, Classic Tours, bagging up the sponsored kit (thanks sponsors – KPMG, Mayflower, SPF Private Clients, Conyers, Freshfields, Validus, Citadel Re and Paddy-O’s), checking that the cash all adds up and writing a final note to the 17 other brave souls who are coming on the ride.  Begging letter to follow tomorrow, after we take a photo of some of the team in their super G2MC (well done Ian Pilgrim for doing such a great job).

Anyway, that’s it for a first entry.  Be back on line when we land in Geneva, if not before.

Best.  CT
